Light up and laugh out loud at this adult parody of a favorite children’s series. A hilarious gift for your favorite stoner.
A humorous play off of If You Give a Moose a Muffin, this book tells the story of a bear that had just one too many bong hits. Following the success of other adult-themed parodies of children’s books, like Go the F*ck to Sleep, author Sam Miserendino presents a delightful tale that will entertain readers with its charming combination of innocence and lack thereof.
I loved the Moose/Muffin, Mouse/Cookie books when my kids were little. This book is a great concept for adults, but doesn’t really deliver. The art work and print production are excellent, and it starts off good but then goes off-track in two areas: * There are too many filler art pages with no text. This 80 page book could have been 40 pages and kept the text of the story flowing. * It doesn’t follow the style of the original close enough to be considered a good parody. It veers off from the style of “this reminds him of that, which reminds him of something else” (which is perfect for stoner jokes) too much. And it completely misses the ending, which should have brought it back full cycle to the bong again. Again, a great concept and I really wanted to enjoy it, but it missed the mark.
Just what you'd think it is. Cute children's book, and boy does that bear get into some hijinks!
Got this for each of my kids (22,26). It’s hysterical and totally brings back the books they loved when they were little (if you give a moose a muffin etc)
